to any and all who know the carpe diem comic i just logged on to the site today and saw something that shocked me to my core. blank whiteness filled my screen, like a heavy blizzard that turns you blind, the world turning to a heavy white screen. the only thing in this bleak and deserted world, a small black lettered paragraph standing out in the white screen with such stark hard contrast it was almost painful to see. the web page was truly deserted. it left me with such an empty feeling of loss. i had just been reading the comic the day before and now this emptyness, like walking into a store that has up and moved overnight, where you are used to seeing shelves and wracks of merchandise there is nothing. and the worst of this was yet to hit me. the terrible haunting wrongness that filled the page was radiating from the five, small black words at the top of the screen:


Sorry, folks, it's over.


my heart stopped for a good fifteen seconds when i saw this, the words are burned into my eyes and etched into my brain for all eternity. not only was one of the greatest furry comics gone from the world, still unfinished, the creators had dismantled the website. preventing anyone, furry or human, from ever reading its glorious pages again. the hole burned in my soul from this is so great, this abombination is nearly a crime, to rob our fellows and our children of this great work. it feels as though ive lost a friend, a friend who i was very close with and had just spent time with yesterday. im still feeling the shock and disbelief now, but the evidence is clear as the stark background with black lettering before my eyes.
